Arup has the ability to take on complex and challenging work anywhere in the world. We currently operate 92 businesses that are led from four key regions – the Americas, Australasia, East Asia and Europe. These offices enable us to deliver our intellectual and human resources to any given location, regardless of geographic, political or cultural boundaries. We are currently working in more than 70 countries, and throughout our history our projects have taken us to more than 180 in total.

Within our global network, it has always been Arup’s policy to give our staff room to develop, to provide technical support to others, to encourage the pursuit of excellence, and to assist with continuous improvement across the full range of our activities. This means that qualified staff members are given the opportunity of a short-term or longer-term assignment abroad when the need arises. In fact, it is quite common for staff from various global offices to be working collaboratively on the same project – often located in a totally different country.

Regardless of your mobility, Arup believes that your awareness of the people and knowledge in other offices is a key part of your ability to deliver the full range of Arup services to a client. Global networks in each discipline use intranet forums and web meetings to share knowledge and best practices. In addition, when Arup leaders and other staff travel internationally, both formal and informal knowledge sharing occurs through presentations, events and meetings.
